When using a hand-free mop, to adjust the dehydration force, the following methods can be adopted according to the type and design of the mop:
Dehydration adjustment of hand-pressed mop
Operation tip: The hand-pressed mop activates the dehydration function by pressing the handle. If you need to increase the dehydration force, you can press the handle continuously, quickly and without interruption to enhance the centrifugal force effect by taking advantage of inertia. For some models, the rod needs to be pulled to the highest position and then quickly pressed. Pause for 2 seconds to give water discharge time, and then repeat the operation to improve the dehydration efficiency.
Foot-operated mop dehydration adjustment
Operation tip: The foot-operated mop achieves dehydration by stepping on the pedal. When adjusting the dehydration intensity, you can try to increase the stepping force or extend the stepping time. For example, press the pedal all the way down and hold it for 2 to 3 seconds to allow the centrifugal device to rotate fully, thereby throwing out more water.
Rotating bearing technology mop
Dehydration adjustment: Some high-end hand-free mops adopt rotary bearing technology, and the dehydration force is determined by the internal mechanical structure. This type of mop usually does not require manual adjustment, but the dehydration effect can be ensured by checking the lubrication status of the bearings (such as adding lubricating oil regularly). If the dehydration force weakens, it might be due to bearing wear. In such cases, contact after-sales service for repair.
General dehydration optimization suggestions:
Pre-treatment of the mop head: Before dehydration, rinse the mop head thoroughly under running water to prevent dirt from clogging the fibers and affecting the dehydration efficiency.
Control the humidity of the mop head: When dehydrating, ensure that the mop head is fully immersed in the dehydrating area to avoid incomplete dehydrating due to some fibers not touching the centrifugal device.
Regular maintenance: Check if there are any obstructions in the dehydration device (such as the centrifugal basket and rollers). After cleaning, the dehydration force can be restored.
